Admission Criteria

Eligibility
Pass in 10th standard (SSLC of the Karnataka State or its equivalent or ICSE & CBSE) as recognized by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board. All admissions to the PU classes are subject to approval by the Karnataka PU Board.

Application forms can be obtained from college office soon after announcement of results.

Documents to be produced at the time of admission:
1. Original 10th standard Marks sheet.
2. Original Transfer certificate, issued by the school last studied.
3. Original Migration certificate in case of non-SSLC (Karnataka state) students.
4. In case of reserved categories, caste certificate and family annual income certificate issued by a Tasildar authorized by the Government of Karnataka.
5. Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by the PU Board in cases of IGCSE students and / or students who have completed the qualifying examination in a foreign country.
6. Two photocopies of each of the above relevant documents.
7. Passport size photograph (most recent, not older than one month) six copies & stamp-size photograph two copies to be enclosed in an envelope with name & stream mentioned on it. (Ensure that the background in the photograph is light coloured)

 
     
 

Rules Applicable
Points to note
1. Selection of a student to any course is based on the student's merit. Patel PU College reserves the right to select its students. All admissions to PU classes are provisional until the approval of the Karnataka State P.U.Board. The College shall not be responsible in case the Karnataka PU Board disapproves a candidate for any reason.

2. Student / parents to adhere to the rules and regulations framed by the college from time to time. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the College authorities shall be final and binding.

3. ATTENDANCE: A student is considered to have satisfied the requirement for an academic year, if he / she have attended not less than 85% of the number of working periods of an academic year, in each of the subjects. In case a student fails to attain the above attendance, the defaulting student will have to get himself / herself admitted to the same course in the subsequent academic year, such admissions shall be at the discretion of the College authorities.

4. MOBILE PHONES: Students are strictly prohibited from using mobile phones and other electronic gadgetries in the college campus. Mobile phones or other electronic gadgetries of defaulting students will be confiscated. Confiscated mobile phones or electronic gadgets will not be returned under any circumstances, habitual offenders will be penalized.

5. DRESS CODE: Students to dress gracefully while coming to the college. Low waist jeans, short tops, T- shirts printed with any slogans or images, short skirts, sleeveless tops, junk jewelleries are not allowed.

It is mandatory for all male students to wear shoes of any kind. Slippers, floaters, sandals etc. are not allowed.

Students dressed in a manner unacceptable to the College authorities, will not be allowed to enter the college campus.

6. Ragging in any form is not acceptable: Students found indulging in ragging or with past records of involvement in ragging or in any criminal activities will be expelled from the college.

7. Students to wear their Identity Cards around their neck while in the College campus.
