Assessment
The students are appraised based on their involvement and participation in tutorials, lecture classes and practical studies. They are also assessed by the project work and seminars apart from the examinations conducted by the institution and the University.

Bachelor of Computer Applications is a 3-year undergraduate programme affiliated to Bangalore University. The course is designed to bridge the gap between IT industries and institutes by incorporating the latest developments into the curriculum. PISM has an excellent group of dedicated faculty and experts from the IT industry, guiding the students. An exclusive and well-equipped lab for the department with a network of latest microprocessor-based computers and software installed, provides hands-on training in various fields of computers. Eligibility
Students who have completed two-years Pre-University Course of Karnataka State or equivalent thereto are eligible to seek admission to BCA degree course.

Duration of the Course
The course of study for the BCA Degree shall extend over a period of three academic years. Each academic year comprising of two semesters and each semester comprising of sixteen weeks of class work.

Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English.
